Pet rat problems

My sister got a new rat, she is really shy and all so we tried putting her in with my rat but my rat keeps picking on her which makes her even shyer but when I separate them they both just lay at the on the ground depressed what can I do!?

try to put a divider in the cage for a while and everyday let them spend a little more time with eachother untill your issue stops.

Please go to the library and get a book on Pet Rats. Learn what their needs are and what their habits and mating habits are. You should always have a good reference book about your pet. I would buy on very good book on Pet Rats to reference to about your pets.

I would say that your Rats are not picking on each other but maybe going through a mating ritual. Not being there I am not sure. This is why it is always better to study up on your pet. Don’t just Internet Search. Much better to have a good reference book on hand. I would get one off Amazon or Alibis. The Local Library is a good place to look through the books and see if there is one book you would like to purchase for keeps, than go buy it.
