How may people on this site believe in the rapture?

The rapture was invented in the 1700s-1800s. It’s not in the bible. The one verse that they say means there is a rapture is in Matthew, and really has nothing to do with the rapture whatsoever, but how we cannot judge the hearts of others (and therefore, know who get saved and who doesn’t).

revealations in the bible actually only means that a great “knowing is gong to fall upon us. not what everyone believes. revealation in greek means, to reveal. so when the end of days fall upon us it only means a great knowledge will be unveiled, but hey believe what u want.

The rapture is not Scriptural and the verses they use to motivate this believe is interpreted wrongly. If you look at at what the Messiah explained about the wheat and the chaff, it is the chaff that is blown away/thrown into the fire. The verses they use refer to the judgement that will come upon all the earth, the righteous will stand and the evil will be ‘raptured’ away into death. We will go through the tribulation. “Of the pestilence that walks in darkness, Of destruction that ravages at midday. A thousand fall at your side, And ten thousand at your right hand; But it does not come near you. Only with your eyes you look on, And see the reward of the wrong ones. “ The only verse that refers to us meeting Him in the clouds are AFTER the tribulation when we’ll go with Him to Jerusalem!
