Why do people believe that The Diary of Anne Frank was just made up, and nothing like that happened?

yeah and the same reason ppl deny God. Humans are douches. They find something wrong w/ everything.

Lets not compare thisto denying there is a god because 1. there is no proof of one and 2. people are touchy when it comes to religion. But its ridiculous ofcourse this happened there is proof that this took place, people are alive from it today and can tell you gruesome stories about the war and being one of the jewish people that were held by hitler. If a person thinks that someone made up that diary well…..they must have something wrong with them.

They don’t want to accept that the holocaust happened so they don’t accept the diary as they might be ashamed of what has happened.

It allows them to have peace of mind by denying something so catastrophic. You know, they like to live in catacombs of Utopia, anything ruining their ideology will simply be denied.

I guess because they don’t want to believe that it happened.

The nazis were mostly christians.

I cant really figure it out.

The reason people deny God, is because there is no proof. There is proof that The Diary of Anne Frank was real, and all of it really happened. So, how is it the same reason?

Epecially since they preserved Anne Frank’s little room thing and a lot of the death camps are still there. :) want to visit the camps, there’s something about the holocaust that I like.

Certain details of Holocaust history are open to historical debate. That the Holocaust happened is absolutely not open to debate. I refuse to give any academic credibility whatsoever to people who deny it took place, nor do I see it as a defensible position that we should listen to with an open mind. People who deny the Holocaust do so for ideological reasons, not because there is no evidence to support it.

By the way, I think we just had this one a couple weeks ago.

People question everything… ive always felt like ever since 2001, everyones been making every situation a conspiricy.

They jusr don’t want to accept the fact that yes life can be that bad, and that the holocaust did happen.

They’re in denial. They are not stupid, or idiotic, they are not crazy, And nothing is “wrong” with them. And humans are not douches, not all of them anyways. Germany went through a traumatic experience as a county, so refusing it is not shocking. It’s normal. Leave them alone if they deny it, after all most of us probably didn’t watch our families get deported to concentration camps. This happened a long time ago, people need to stop obsessing and move on already and leave those who went through it ALONE
