Why do people say that African Americans can dance but white people can't?

Considering the majority of the kids in my school are black, I think it’s safe to say that they cannot dance. The ones on tv can but not the ones I know. It just looks goofy I swear.

You wanna see a white person with hot moves? Well here’s a start :)

But what I’m really saying is the stereotype never matches the reality and there are people in every racial group that can dance like a God :)

It’s a Stereotype. My school is mixed, we pretty much have every race(at lest one person of every different kind of race). Most black kids at my school can dance. Last Friday I was at my ROTC Ball, every black & latino kid was on the dance floor gett’n it! I saw alot of white guys stading on the side, I tryed to get Dryton & Mac on the floor but they wounldn’t & when they finllay did I saw why they didn’t wanna dance in the 1st place. It’s not that they couldn’t dance that just didn’t have that much rhythm. So with me I don’t belive all white kids can’t dnace, but from what i’ve seen at partys, weddings, & from my school, alot just don’t have rhythm. (P.S. It’s mainly males xD)

It’s nice to have a mixed school, you learn how to get along with differeent people.

It’s a stereotype. It’s like saying that white people can swim and black people cannot. You get good dancers of all racial groups. I do know that in the black cultures in my country, dance and music is generally much more part of their lives than it is with us.

Its just a stereo type…..but in some case, shake what your momma gave ya…… then you’ll really see whether you can dance or not.
