I would like an opinion on a new relationship a friend has gotten into

She is starting to date this guy from work since the beginning of august, however, she doesnt know that he is a lying cheating type. He has had at least 5 other women in the last 9 months and he is going into med school while she is leaving for another province for school again (meaning, he could easily have other women while she’s away im thinking). They always text, hang out etc, but I have a feeling its not going to last and I dont want to see her hurt

What are your opinions on this new hookup? Am I right to see this only as a summer fling?

well many things could happen when she leaves but you should just warn her about it and leave it at that no one wants some one that trys to patroll there realtionships and if you find out that he does cheat just let her know but thats really all you can do

So she is the 6th girl he’s dated in the past 9 months? This isn’t just come coincidence, it sounds like he has some sort of commitment issue and she really needs to think about the relationship. She should ask him what went wrong with the past relationships and she’ll know whether he’s lying or not by the way he responds. Its really soon in their relationship to start a long distance relationship but could work if both parties tried, but will he try? Most likely not by the sounds of it. He doesn’t sound like a keeper.
