lucky1826 , really what are you? 12 to be a racist someone needs to make fun of/insault a persons race/nationality did pwincess_irenemarie do that? no grow up and LEARN what the words your typing actually mean
There are two lines in his speech that really stood out for me.
When he said, “We will restore science to its rightful place”, I said, FINALLY!! After eight years of denial over global warming, and giving lip service to junk sicence like Intelligent Design, true science will no longer have to defend itself from ignorance and greed.
I also thought this line was great: “To those who cling to power through corruption and deceit and the silencing of dissent, know that you are on the wrong side of history; but that we will extend a hand if you are willing to unclench your fist.”
It shows great resolve, yet also great restraint at the same time. It is nice to have a true statesman at the helm.
pwincess_irenemarie: Maybe you need to be more open to political views instead of focusing on skin color because based on your previous comments, you are a racist but are just too afraid to admit it!
HA! I am NO WAY NO HOW a racist. And IF I was why would I be afraid to admit it? You know NOTHING about my lifestyle so before you make false judgement.
I thought it went well, little bobble during the oath but other than that, smoothly - glad to see the clearly cordial/friendly back and forth between Obama/Michelle and Bush/Laura, waiting on the steps while Cheney was departing in the limo- clearly not staged - very good for the country - off to an excellent start.
John McCain would have been a better choice. Obama is full of lies & is giving us false hope. Ugh.
It was great. The speech was very… well, presidential. It is nice to be able to drop the elect in the title and just say PRESIDENT OBAMA. A true man of integrity, compassion, and intelligence. He is just what this country needs at this time. I just hope that the damage done by Bush/Cheney and the GOP is repairable. I think that will improve things. He already has imporved our global image by just being innaugurated.
I thought it was great. It was all well done and Obama’s speech was very good. I’m excited to see what will happen to this country.
pwincess_irenemarie: Do you know what you are talking about?
I loved it. Especially the justice mis-giving lines and the Orchestra’s composition! That was awesomely beautiful! His speech was very much re-stating what he said in the campaign. Also, more.
it was good,
but I don’t get why everyone is celebrating change, when nothing has changed yet. all that happened is our president is half african american. and he was sworn it.
