Neutered Cat Appears Unneutered

My cat was neutered about 4 mos. ago However, I’ve noticed that he looks like he still has testicles. I have had cats all my life and in the past my cats that have been neutered have looked like they did not have testicles. Is there a new way of doing it that would make him look different?

Answer #1

Nope!!! No new way for apearances. Once something has been done to stop certain organs or fuctional tissues from functioning, in this case testicles, they will become necrotic (dead tissue). They must be removed due to inevitable infection. So either your vet lied to you about actually performing the procedure, they forgot to remove them and your pet will die from infection, or there is excess skin and/or scar tissue. I am pretty sure it was either option 1 or option 3!!
