How to lose weight before going back to school?

Hello , so im 16 years old & 164 pounds. & im also 5'7 . what are some ways I could lose weight all summer before going back to school . if I worked my butt off, how much do you think I would be able to lose? AND I know fat turns to muscle. I don't want all muscle, I was thinner legs, not muscular is that possible. and if yes.. how? I mean I don't want to starve myself , I want it to go the healthy way. people say I dont need to lose weight, but I feel I do because I want to be able to not be so self concious & I want to be able to feel good with myself & my body.
