my lover is dealing with a diagnose of cancer recentley, how do I

Im in a particular situation,my lover is dealing with a diagnose of cancer recentley,he is taking it pretty hard,and I understand that,he has basically stop reaching out to me,we were having our fair amount of realationship issues before he was diagnosed with cancer.its hard to get a hold of him due to all the dr.appt .he says he still loves me,I love him too,I want to be a part of his treatments etc,but he is not including me.so what should I do?is his behavoir a hint for me to move on?is he having a hard time knowing he may die?some one please answer,also if someone has been through this before please answer.

I have never been in this situation, but I think you must not be pushy, but you have to be always friendly and do unobtrusively offer your help.
