My GRAND mother in law.. hates me

My husbands grandma hates me.. with a passion. We have a baby and she insists on telling people that we “starve” him. She even went to wal mart and bought a whole bunch of baby food for him! Not that I mind not having to buy it.. its just the point behind her doing it.. She will come to my house, and clean my toilet, and then go tell all of my husbands family what a “horrible environment” I let my child live in.. That we are nasty and the baby is always hungry. Neither is true. My house is always clean and my son does not go HUNGRY! She even went as far as to tell my mom all of this! I have confronted her about it, and of course, she lies. But I’m guessing that my husbands family and my mom dont 3 way each other on the phone and plan all of this out. I would hate to keep my son from seeing her, but I’m tired of her acting like she does. Any suggestions?

You need to talk to your husband… If you form a united front you’re more likely to get somewhere… and then basically lay down the law… either she does abc, or you will not interact with her…

Tell her that the behavior is being taken seriously, and that you aren’t going to allow your son to spend time with someone who acts like that.

If she cleans your toilet, thank her and ask her if she wouldn’t mind taking a look at the kitchen too. If she buys you food, give her a list of other things she might pick up if she has the time. Kill her with kindness. Or at least pseudo-kindness. It sounds like she’s going to do what she’s going to do, so just let her. As long as your hubby and the rest of the family aren’t buying into her ranting, what harm can she do? Try not to let it get to you and enjoy the clean toilet.

But seriously, feed your kid. He’s looking thin.
