What is wrong with my dog?

My dog has been coughing. He is not himself allthe time. He don’t want to eat. Some say parvo but he has had his shots. others say heartworm but he is on heartgard. I am trying to find out if he has a cold or if someone may know what it is. I can’t afford a vet right now.

it may be kennel cough which is just a regular cold to us. to rpevent that you should give your dog a bordatella vaccine every 6 months. also how old is the dog? and just because he is on heartguard does not mean he does not have heartworms. once a mosquito bites the dog it takes 6 months for the heartworms to show up on the dog.

im not really sure..but when that happend to my uncles dog, he use to get a raw egg and make the dog eat it..then like the next day the dog was acting normal again.. that may help..i dunno im not a dog expert

Some dogs still get parvo even if they’ve been vaccinated. See a vet and have them let you pay it out. You could lose your dog if you wait too long.

it could be getting sick when it goes outside or something like that so it could have dariea or a upset stomach. That may be the reason it is not eating. Try to make it eat grass and it should thow upm and it would feel better in the tummy area. I hope that works for you.
