My crush didnt call me back when he said he would?

I’m very good friends with my crush. Long story short, he called me 3 times saturday night at 9:30 just to tell me his best guy friend (that I’m good friends with) told him I liked him. There was an awkward 1 minute silence because I was caught off guard, then he told me he’d talk to me tomorrow.

so its sunday at 6pm and he still hasnt called. I call him and ask him if he wanted to talk to me. he quickly says “no I just wanted to tell you I saw jimmy last night”. I didnt believe him, because why would he be trying to contact me late at night to tell me he saw my friend? I asked him if jimmy told him anything, and he said that jimmy said I like him. I said “u know that’s true right?”. he said “…now I do”, then said he would call me back in an hour because he was going out to dinner.

now it’s monday and he never called me back. why didnt he call me back? I’m pretty sure he likes me, and a lot of other people (including his best friend jimmy) think that he likes me, too. Is he too scared or something? I’m not expecting that much of him but I was atleast hoping he’d call back…

Don’t take it personal, he probably wants to make a move, but probably has a lot on his mind. When some guys (including myself) like a girl, they tend to think about EVERYTHING possible, good and bad, before making a move. Phone calls don’t seem to be very important to us guys. A lot of the time, “I’ll call you tomorrow” means “I’d like to talk to you about this more when I’m free, is that ok?” I’m sure you’re on his mind. He probably won’t talk to you about it until he has a good amount of time and no distractions. Don’t worry about the phone call, he’s not trying to lie to you or keep you waiting around the phone. Just go with the flow. Don’t think too far into it. Guys are simple. Lol. Best of luck to ya! :)
