My Cat is pregnant but I'm going on holiday in 8days. We took her to the vet and he said she will give birth within the next 2 -3 days 4days later and nothing has happened... What should I do?
Well, every day cats give birth on the streets and the kittens most likely die from either abundance or that it´s too cold. My cat gave birth a while ago, and the when she delivered the kitties everything was fine. they can totally handle it, it´s like instinct. But our vet said that the kitties have it best in a warm place, like a catbed, with their mother. and if your cat delivers in the streets then that´s really not going to be an option.
I recommend you ask one of your friends to take care of the cat while you´re on your holiday. So that you can be assured that everything goes fine. Cause if something goes wrong and she gives birth on the street, then there´s a slim chance thing are going to go well.
Hope my advice helped you :D
PS: My cat started miaowing like crazy when she knew she was in labour, and ran up to my bed. Just so you know :)
Yep - my sister in law had to get a friend to look after her pregnant cat while they all came to visit us. The cat gave birth to healthy kittens and the friend and her kids had a great time looking after them until the family came back. It worked well for them and the cat, so I hope you're able to find a friend who could do the same for you.
Mother cats have a natural mother instinct so she will know how to give birth and I would know because my cat gave birth and I was on vacation too and I had my friend feed her and giver her water but yea I recommend you do get a friend to at least give it food and water and the mom and kittens will be alright so yea. HAVE FUN!!
