My 4 Year Old African Grey Parrot - Jerrie

Jerrie only Hates me but loves my mom why? and She only talks when alone and ignored, how can I get her to talk lots?

you need to encourage her. try giving her a treat like a cracker and say things like jerrie wants some? and give it to her, its like a dog, give them a treat and they will learn. you need to repeat things all the time to them, constantly in order for them to pick it up and giving them lots of that attention will teach them to talk infront of you to. maybe she only talks when no one is around because she has nothing else to do but when there are people around she has stuff to watch, so if you make a point of giving all your attention to her and repeating the same thing to her then it might work. but you cant try to teach her and get her to learn and say more than one thing at a time. for example, for a week or however long it may take focus on one word or phrase and only say that one to her until she learns it once she has learnt it then move onto another one. if you give her lots of attention all the time then she will like you as well as your mom. they get attached to voices and if you talk to her lots and spend lots of time with her then she will become attached to you as well. good luck!
