How can I get my financial situation settled?

I was used by this girl I was friends with for 4 years this past Christmas. On Dec 23, she said she needed help Christmas shopping and that she could pay me back next week so I helped her out. We spent $3000 total which put my checking account about $2000 overdrawn. Here it is February and no money paid back yet. I was given advice from many people to end the friendship over this and many other things she was doing. Now I am trying to pay off these bad checks and credit card bills. The only problem with paying off the bad checks is that they don’t accept payments it has to be in full and by the due dates. I don’t make enough to cover it by the due date make or make the payment on some of these. My credit is to shot now to get a loan, I already tried many loan companies. Do you have any suggestions on how to get this stuff settled?
