Metrogel for bacterial vaginosis

I never had any discharge before using metrogel. Just a bad odor. So, my doctor called in metrogel for me. I have been using it for 4 nights now (once a day/at bedtime). Every day since, I have noticed greyish/white clusters when I wipe. It’s after I urinate and it doesnt smell. Is this normal? And it doesn’t look or smell like a blod clot. Is this the normal part or the medicine running it’s course? Please let me know!

Any time you get body changes while taking something from a doctor you need to notify them. Usually they will discuss with you regular after effects but if he didn’t mention anything about it to you then it’s best to give him a call to make sure everything is okay.

Answer #2

that is the medication running its course. The gel works by clumping with the bacteria that causes BV that is on the vaginal wall. Then those clumps come out eventually.
