Why won't my menses stop if it's been more than two months?

I really worried and feel annoy about my situation now. My period is irregular, more than 2 months menses never stop, each time use the birth control pill to stop it, and before I have been injected a cycle of progestin around 10 years ago. It works but in the second month it bled heavily, I think I recovered but 1 year later, it happened again, can’t stop lightly bleeding. So I went to see the doctor almost every year about this problem, each time they finally do is give me birth control pills to eat (such as norethindrone, diethylstilbestrol). Because they have no method to cure me. They all works, I remember one of the doctor ask me to eat 5 days to see if it is stoped or not, and don’t eat more, the blood stoped just 2 days from I eat it. So I continuely eat 5 days and then stoped. I have regular period the whole year, then next year it come back again, then I eat 5 days of norethindrone again…… This year is the same, I can’t insist, I am so fraustrated of bleeding more than 2 months,,,, but what I can do? each year the examination result with no problem, so doctor has nothing to do with me….. I really want to eat Norethindrone again, but I really hate of this, I should rely on it in my whole life?… Do you have any suggestions? Thanks a lot.

Answer #1

You need to go to a doctor and have your Hormone levels checked…. Worst case scenario : The blood is coming from a uterine cyst or tumor

Answer #2

Oh i see you did go to a doctor, get an ultrasound, MRI or CAT scan a gynecologist can help you further, this case is quite unsettling

Answer #3

You need to get a check up at a gynecologist. A normal period should not last that long. You could have a tumour, cyst, growths or any other serious condition. Don’t mess with your reproductive health.
