Mall Scavenger Hunt

If we run out of time at my birthday party, instead of going bowling we are planning on going on a mall scavenger hunt. I was planning on having clues to go places and buy stuff (It’s just me and my two friends and my sister, so I have some $ to spend) but that wouldn’t be very fun because I would already know the clues. Is there any other way I could do this to make it fun for me and my friends? I have a bit of money to spend so nothing’s too big! We have a lot of stores at our mall and we’re planning on going to Claire’s, Limited Too, Aeropostale, Banana Republic, PacSun, Bath and Body Works, American Eage, Hollister, Great American Cookie, Barnes and Nobles, and we even have a gelato place. So anything icluding those would be great! I NEED IDEAS!!!

Answer #1

tell your mom what you would want to buy. give her a ton of options and have her put it together for you. I did this for my 15th birthday a long time ago. it was pretty cool

Answer #2

Make a list of things you want for your birthday (that you might not be getting) and then maybe ask your friends one / two things they want to get.

Then after you have the list together, ask your parents to randomly pick say, 3 things (to make sure everybody gets something) and put the clues around the mall for you to look for. Then ask your parents to set it up around the mall, so you’ll know something of what’s happening (eg, what you’re getting) but not all, and your friends / sister will be happily surprised they get something, too. :)

Answer #3

Ask one of your parents to take digital photographs of ( say 12 ) suitably priced items that you would probably be willing to buy - in the mall. . Then they print the pictures out and distribute them among the four of you ( i.e. three each in the example of 12 items ). . It is then a race to see who gets “their” items first. You could go individually, or in pairs, or all together as a four person team.
. As a four person team, you could be either totally cooperative and help each other to find all the items while simultaneously looking for your own, ….. . ….. or make it a bit more competitive by agreeing to use subtle distraction techniques to keep the others away from their items until after you have found your own. .
