How do you get magic marker stain off of brick mortar?

First try saop and hot water and a metal scrub brush…like a metal toothbrush. If that doesn’t work, try alcohol, IF that doesn’t work try acetone (fingernail polish remover, BUT the regular kind, cheap brand, NOT with oil in it!!!) If none of this works, and it is inside, get a few tubes of watercolor paint, in colors close to the mortar color. like one lighter and one slightly darker. mix them until you get very close to the color, them dab on (small amounts of paint, NOT thick). let dry and it should look fine. I’ve done this before when I got bright red paint on my mortar.
