Made slimmer by cling film?

I heard somewhere that if you wrap cling film around the part of the body you wish to be made thinner, it’ll make you lose a few inches.

Is this right? Or can anyone tell me more about this/if you need creams to use with it etc?

:) xx

:S I doubt it works, for the long term, which is what you want I heard that sitting in a freeezing cold bath helps. because your body burns loads and loads of calories trying to heat it up again =]

Yeah, it does work, and is really very temporary. it’s also very dangerous because you get dehydrated as you sweat water out.

I dont know.. but what I ‘think’ might work is putting it on this area whilst your doing some cardio. The idea is to slightly increase the body temperature in this specific area to encourage the body to be burning fat here. As fat burns at a highter temperature and in theory its gonna take less ‘effort’ to remove it from the higher temperature area. In order for this to work.. you would have to be in your fat burning zone of course.. I.e in the morning before food etc. Everyones body different.. I’ve lost a lot of fat from my arms and legs and bum.. but my belly tends to be the last place.. hence im resorting to clingwraping my abs! (to try and get rid of the layer of fat hiding my six pack!) Some people wear hats and loads of clothes and go for a run… they claim making themselves get hotter helps burn fat. Some people say this works.. others say its dangerous as muscles work more efficiently when cool. I think the cling film technique has got to be worth trying as your targeting just this one area and your skin is still able to breathe else where.

p.s if you do the morning thingi suggested above.. your body is still burning fat after you excercise so I wouldn’t remove it for an hour or so after. Then when you do eat.. and for rest of day aim for 6 small meals, rather than the traditional british 2 big ones! You want to speed up your metabolism and convince your body that its ok to burn fat as you have a regular and often supply of nutrition. Our bodys only store it as an emergency reserve.
