Looking after an exchange student

Hi guys I need some advise on wether or not to have an exchange student stay from japan. Its for my daughters school. I would love to but would like to get an idea of what its like. knowing me id want to keep the poor kid.

Dear bigmuma, Having an exchange student of course come with a lot of responsibility. If you choose to do this please research the culture in depth. This can be a wonderful experience for you as well as the student. I do hear horror stories about this only because the host family did not take the time to learn about their students. I think you should do it it seems like you got a big heart and want to share the love with all these kids so go ahead and even after his/her stay is over you can always write to each other email each other it would give you the chance to learn about a different culture then just the American culture and see how other people work I think it would be a great thing for you to get invole with who knows what will all happeaned after that best of luck

I’d let the girl stay, it will make your daughter and the girl become friends and write to each other and have her learn more about Japan.
