Lhasa Apso puppy, how old to be put up to stud?

I Have a Lhasa Apso puppy. On the 5th Of October he will turn 1.

I’m wondering how old they have to be, to be put up for stud. And weather you take your dog to the persons house, or they bring theres to ours… Any ideas??

He isn’t going to have the puppies someone else is unless you purchase a female. People will laugh at you, if you try to advertise your dog for stud service and when the call and ask “How is he registered” Your going to say “What’s That”?

Did you get Registration Papers that are from say the American Kennel Club? Or APRI or CKC something like that?

You also have to have your Vet check over you dog and see if he will be a prefect stud and carries no defects that can be passed to if offspring.

You need to go to the library and check out a book on breeding dogs and whelping litters. Our one called you Stud Dog.

Also you need to teach him now not to hump unless it is “HUMPING TIME” this is a nasty habit just like peeing on the carpet and needs to be broke. A good stud does not humping until the humping is right. If you think I sound funny I am trying to be but it is all true.

They hump male dogs for the fun of it. It is a dominance thing. DON’T LET THAT DOG HUMP YOU! ARE YOU GOOFY!

What kind of papers? I feel really mean on him. Hes never seen a girl dog before, any male dog he humps 24/7. hes started to hump me!! so I think it would be better if I just put him up for stud

Answer #3

Don’t BREED him, get him NEUTERED! He’ll never remember that he longed for girls.

Answer #4

If he doesn’t have papers, there’s no point in breeding him. People are going to buy the puppies and want papers, which means the lineage needs to be researched. Why exactly do you want to breed him?

Answer #5

First of all, is he papered?

He can breed after his first year, and usually the stud goes to the females house, but those kinds of plans have to be made between you and the females owner

Answer #6

breeding your dog will not curb his humping behavior. it will likely make it even worse.

Answer #7

No im not getting him neutered!! I want him to have puppys!

Answer #8

I havent got a clue if hes papered :S
