Leash train

How do you leash train a puppy?? Just put him on a leash and tie him up? I don’t know fersure… =/

Answer #1

with my puppy, I put the lead on and walked around the garden running backwards calling the pups name and they just follow u!!

try just putting the lead on round the house and letting the pup walk around with it so he/she knows its not a big deal!

use lots of treats and happy sounds :)

please dont tie your puppy up thou:(

Answer #2

Put him on the leash and call him…allthough our alsation REFUSED to walk when he was a puppy…so he needed some tugging to encourage him…funny though…today he cries like a baby from excitement if he just hears that he is going for a walk…:)

Answer #3

No…with a pup, you put a leash on, and then tug, bribe, encourage, it to walk with you. Puppies by nature (at least when they are under 3 months) WANT to follow you…call it’s name, clap your hands, even hold out a treat or toy…tug on leash. Sometimes it’s easier to start this in the house, so there are less distractions…this training takes very little time.
