Why is my laptop making a quiet hissing sound?
my hp laptop just started making this soft,quiet hissing noise. it’s been like this for a few hours off and on now. and i’ve only had this laptop little less then a year.
Well…im not sure if urs is doing what mine is…but my laptop makes this weird hissing noise 2…sounds like its about 2 overload or something….but sometimes all your programs may be trying 2 run @ the same time…even when they r closed…..just try turning it off more often…and c if it helps….
im guessing your cpu fan is speeding up as necessary to counter the heat……
it could also be your harddrive but harddrives dont hiss, they just make a heavy tap a few times a second when their having trouble keeping up and are getting old so you can iron this out.
without actually hearing the noise its hard to diagnose but my original guess im pretty happy with.
