Hang in there while we get back on track
Go to a shelllttteer and get an older dog.
I would highly recommend and older Chihuahua! I’ve owned Chihuahuas, for over 40 years and I have quite a few now. Chihuahuas are great companions, for the elderly! They are compact, loving, you can take them anywhere that allows small dogs, they are very devoted to their owners, they get very attached to their owners, they are loyal, absolutely adorable, easy to care for, they love to entertain you and make you laugh, they love attention, and to be cuddled and held. I would seriously check out your local Shelter or Chihuahua Rescue Group! Just have the woman you’re talking about, go have a look! They have so many Chihuahuas to choose from, that would be perfect for an older woman and she would be saving a life at the same time, which in my opinion, is a great feeling. She will also have an awesome little companion to keep her company!
I would have to say a toy yorkie! If you find the right one, it will just want to sit on her lap all day. She can put a traing pad down for it to go to the bathroom so she wouldn’t have to worry about taking it outside all the time.
I kinda agree on the Bulldog…an OLDER one, who’s gone thru it’s puppiness. They can be very sedate and calm…like to sleep, and if trained to walk on a leash, only need a little exercise daily…
phrannie
Well If she wants a bigger dog probably some kinda of lab and if she wants a smaller dog probably a doxin SHE SHOULDNT get a chihuauhua because they are really mean and they dont stop moving…I had one beofre…just trust me on that ! My Dog is a doxin mix jack russel
yes, pugs are great pets and need little room as they arent ones to need a lot of “running” space…Pugs do shed a lot though because unlike most dog breeds , pugs have an undercoat(2 layers of hair), but are playful yet great loyal companions.
yellow female lab
a chihwawa!!! they are low matinace and so cute and really small… or a shihtzu!
an elderly pug would be great! elderly dogs are highly compatible with seniors because they will not be too hyper for them to keep up with. pugs are also loyal and cute, and there’s plenty of senior aged pugs out there that could use a good home and kindness that would come from a senior citizen.
