Why does my dog like to be in my lap all the time?

I pet him and rub his tummie all the time, I give him the most attention out of my mom, dad and i.

I guess he’s a stalker too, because he follows me EVERYWHERE I go. Ex. into the bathroom, the kitchen, outside, to my room, the kitchen…I can’t escape him ahhh.

No he’s not a puppy far from it he’s 4 years old…or 5 years old. We don’t exactly know because…we got him from the shelter. His story is sad my dad said they found him on the side of the freeway…and I was all so he’s always been a runaway. Cause he ran away from us one time…he chased a deer into the forest area behind my granny’s apartment complex. We didn’t see him for two days, but then he came back bright and early in the morning. I left a treat at the door for him to eat. I was so happy, he came back. I thought he was lost forever.
