Why does fenoglio dissapear at the end? Did he go into the book? If so did he plan it?

I LOVE THAT BOOK!!! but yea he’s in the book…on accedent.

he went into the book I can tell you more if you would like, but it spoils the next two books in the series, inkspell and inkdeath
