It’s not illegal but if they (the school) found out the person’s essay wasn’t their work, you could both get in serious trouble for plagerizing and could get kicked out of the school.. well, in college at least. The punishment would probably not be that severe if just in high school, but could still get in a lot of trouble.

According to a good friend of mine, it is illegal. You’d be knowingly aiding other students with plagiarism, and profiting from it. You can write essay to submit to contests, or to publications, but helping someone fake their education can’t be legal.

Not if they come from you, like it’s all originated from you, I don’t think that it would be illigal. I guess you also have to look at the laws according to your state.
