if I get a tattoo can I donate blood?

I asked this ? before but im just confused some say that doctors say that you can or cant give blood.I just want 2 make sure if you could or cant donate blood if I get a tatt?help me out

You can’t give blood for a certain period of time after getting a tattoo. I think it’s usually within the last 6-12 months.

There’s a big risk because of the process that goes into getting a tattoo. You’re essentially taking an needle, breaking skin, and filling that wound with ink. Sometimes, if you go to a bad shop, you can get re-used needles or equipment that isn’t sterilized properly. This could cause infections or transmit HIV, things that blood donation centers don’t want.

I dont see why not, I’ve donated blood before and I have a tattoo… I guess it depends? They always screen their blood…
