Ideas For A Novel?

One of my favorite things to do is read and I also love to write. I’ve been thinking about writing a novel and I came up with some ideas but I want more. Does anybody have any ideas for a novel?

This may not help you much, but I just finished reading “Revolutionary Road” based on the novel by Richard Yates :). I found it really good and entertaining. It has a lot going on, but if you’re into that kind of stuff, it’s a good book to pick up :). I found it at Chapters for about $20.

Pick things out of your own life and alter them. Do “what if” questions about your life (like what if my mum divorced my dad and joined a cult?) and then once you have a grip of the storyline, take yourself out of the equation and put your protagonist there instead and imagine how they would react to the sequence of events.

sothing based on a true story like the boy in the striped pajams its about the friendship and bond between two different boys when ones german and the other is gonna get sent to a concentration camp:(
