you could draw some japanese kabuki actors on stage- that would fit with your interests. draw samurai riding horses. japanese fishermen in a boat on the ocean.

You can get the most experience drawing close-ups and concentrating on anatomy. You’ll get good with proportions, and all of your drawings will improve.

couples on a date at a milkshake shop or something. remember the comic book of archie? where veronica & him were on a date & there was a round table? you can draw two couples sipping from the same cup. the girl has her left arm out on the round table, & legs crossed sipping the drink & the guy has his right hand on her hand :) have star- gazing eyes for both. be creative :) put some passion in it.
