Can I bleach my hair back to blonde?

I have naturally lightish blonde hair and a few months ago I got brown highlights as I got bored of my blonde hair. I really liked it so I decided to dye my hair completely brown with a hair dye from the shops. After only 2 days I’ve decided I don’t really like it and would love my old colour back, or at least blonde hair similar to what it was like before.. sooo my questions are Would it be better to buy a bleach first and then dye it blonde? I’ve heard it really dries out your hair, but does it really look that different and can this be treated with frequent conditioning??

Answer #1

Yes..But you should go to the salon so you wont mess up your hair..The stylist might want to strip your hair and thats probably the correct thing to do to get your natural blonde back…then you can dye your hair yourself to any blonde you like..well good luck!

Answer #2

Yes and yes. The bleach will do most of the work getting your hair blonde. Then you want to use a non-ammonia based dye if you so choose to dye it afterwards. Conditioning will help keep the fried hair look to a minimum. Jolen hair bleach works well. Just be very careful not to leave it in too long and burn your scalp or worse over-thin your hair .
