I think my cat has a snake bite on his right arm

It looks like a snake bite, and his arm is really swollen. Yet, he is moving around just fine, and he only gets mad when I try to doctor it up with peroxide and antibiotic cream. I don’t want to take him to the vet and pay an arm and a leg and find out he was just “cat fighting”. Any suggestions?

if it looks like a bite, it could be a snake bit or a spider bite either way theres no way to tell that its posonouse unless you take it to the vet they dont cost all that much and its better to be safe than sorry

If you think it’s a snake bite, then he should have been to the Vet, yesterday…since he hasn’t died, then I’m thinking it actually is a bite from another cat…AND HE STILL NEEDS TO GO TO THE VET!! The puncture wounds caused by another cat get infected and become abcesses…he needs anti-biotics.

VET!!

If your cat isn’t letting you help heal it and you really do think it is a snake bite, im afraid you might well have to pay the vet prices, to ensure the health of your cat! you dont want him to get infected :( x

Yea, I have a feeling I’m going to have to bite the bullet on this one. I can’t stand to see his arm like that. :(
