I need help on telling my dance teacher that I want to be moved up

I need advice on what to say to my dance teacher to move me up in a higher level… I dont want to sound self centered but compared to the people in my level I am a very good dancer and way better then them,…like how we are required to take two ballet classes and I am in a way more advance extra ballet class then they are plus I am the only one out of my whole class that is on pointe, and they arnt serious at all and are always goofing off and they always forget the steps! I had told her last year that I thought the people in the class didnt take it serious enough but she said she thinks they would mature up…and they havnt.

I think you need to tell your teacher you would like to be moved up 1 level, NEXT YEAR, because, to me, you sound like a wihny brat, that thinks shes some great big ballet star, and needs to have a good think. im 16, and in a MAJOR ballet company dancing leads, and I would not have gotten this far if I had an atittude like you.

maybe she is keeping you in that class so they can learn from you and follow you if they dont know the steps. I’ve had the same problem as you and I ended up emailing my dance teacher and asking her if I could try out one of the more advanced classes and if it was too hard I could move back down

I hope this helped :]
