How can I lose weight around my stomach?

I need to lose weight around my stomach. It has gotten even worse lately, I’ve been noticing the difference. I’ve tried doing some research on how to lose this (ie targetting exercises, healthy eating) but I haven’t found any answers that really apply to my situation.

I’m about 5’1 and I’m not athletic at all. I have very little muscle. My waist is tiny (I fit into size 0/24 pants) but have ‘love handles’ and what I’d say is a pot belly. It isn’t drastic but I’m really selfconcious about it, especially now, because it seems like being tiny, guys at my school like to flirt with me more by touching/poking my stomach and I don’t want any of them to notice.

I’m 16 years old, I don’t want this to get any worse. I don’t know my exact weight but I imagine it’s just over 100 lbs. Last year I was around 88-95 lbs at the same height.

I work and go to school so I don’t have the time (or money) to go to a gym frequently but I want to do this the healthy way.

Does anyone have any suggestions? I don’t know what to eat or what kind of exercises to do.

PS- If possible I’d love to keep my boobs as big as they are (wouldn’t we all? they’re not huge but big for my size) but I’ve been told losing weight will make them quite a bit smaller.

To lose your middle get a barbell and place it in front of you and roll it back & forth. It will stretch your body and thereby tighten up your middle. You could go on a juice fast. Just drink juice for 2 weeks. Lose lots of weight that way.

Ok I read what you have to say and all I can say is it may be possible that you are anorexic as I looked at the height weight chart and you are the normal weight you have nothing to worry about by the sounds of things you are too self contious speak to your parents and let them know how you feel. Go onto google and type in am I anorexic quizzes and do a few of them.

Ok I didnt even bother to read your message, the title said it all!

Its impossible to ‘lost weight around your stomach’

Your body distributes fat proportionally around your body in accordance with your dna, theres nothing you can do about that, therefore if you want to loose weight dont start of with to much, start easy bulid it up, just start with maybe 10-15 mins exercise twice a week and build it up slowly, also try a sensible diet, not only live off salad or cutting out everything, everything in moderation!

eat 3 meals a day! this is a big mistake made by many! skipping breakfast or dinner will make it harder to lose weight not easier, you body will just go into starvation mode and store all it can

Id also consider if you really need to lose any weight, get your bmi checked out and providing its in good reigion (between 20 and 24 I think) your fine

Also you could try incorperating some muscle builing exercise into you routine with time

Two more things left - exersice doesnt just mean running for miles on end, find any energertic sport you like and do it; swimming biking, badminton, tennis anything not just the gym, they only want your money

Finally go to you doctor or local clinic if you can and he/she should be able to give you some good advice

I want to lose weight around my stomach area too. im 14 and want to get my belly pierced… my mum said I can do it if I tone up my stomach. I checked my BMI and im 22.5 which is healthy. im doing the special K diet and it seems to be working. but on top of that im doing sit up, I started with 50 a day and am now doing 100 its seems to be working, I think this might work for you but it depends on how you eat and excersise I hope you lose the bit of weight you think you need to
