I started accidently punching my face while I was sleeping and waking up with bruises and black eyes... this was only occaisonally, then I done it almost every night.. for some reason now when im upset or angry with myself I punch myself in the face and I really dont want to.. this sounds REALLY stupid, no nasty comments please, but it makes me feel better because I deserve all these hits but theres GOT to be a better way for me to deal with things? please help because I think theres something wrong with me and I dont want to become a self-harmer!! :(
Try yoga or realx your self more. It sounds like you think you should be punished, You have a guilty or shameful feeling on your shoulders. Now do you think someone else should be punched for no reason or becasue theve done wrong? Everyone makes mistakes. If you want it to stop then realize that you shouldnt be punched or harmed that way. Little tip :You have to Love and treat yourself well before you love and treat others well, how can you love someone else if you dont even love your self:? Thats the first thing then when your mad or angery find other ways to realease it and when upset as well. If it doesnt stop the go to your doctor. Good luck :)
try an anger management class, or exercising to relieve the stress.
try wear boxing glove when you sleep. or wear face protector.
