What can I do about my injuries from a lacrosse ball?

so, the other day at practice we were doing drills and i wasn’t looking and someone threw a LACROSSE ball at me and it hit me in the face..its on the left side of my nose. i didn’t say anything, but the next day i went to the ER and got cat scans. i have a concussion and its really bad. theres no blood or bruise but i know I’m gonna get a black eye soon and my face is VERY swollen, its terribly puffy. my nose is also running horribly, i cant go 2 minutes without blowing/wiping it. my eyes are also swollen shut. i don’t know what to do, please help!

Hi,

Wow. I’m sorry that happened; it sounds awful. When you were at the ER, the doctor/nurses should have told you what to do to help take care of it. Good old fashioned ice may help reduce the swelling, but if it’s too painful, call your doctor and see if he can do something or prescribe something for you.

I hope you feel better soon!

Ouch… try putting ice on it…
