I found a bird nest in my husbands truck motor

I had no choice but to take the nest out the minute he showed it to me. I don’t want them to die, every since I got them I put the nest in a box with a towel and have it under a lamp. I don’t know anything about nesting eggs and I do know that more than likely they will not hatch. I have always heard that if you mess with mother nature it will only be for the worst. But to be on the safe side I would like to try my hardest to keep this poor little eggs and try to save them. If they do hatch I will take them to a wild life place I am sure. I just need help with nesting… can anyone help me ??

Sorry. I couldn’t help but I wanted you to know that you’re a noble person. Caring for unborn babies. That’s so touching. How sweet.

Answer #2

I agree with ^ you don’t know what these eggs are and ‘hatching’ them will be problamatic unless you know what they need when they hatch…

you what you’re doing, but seek proffesional advise.

Answer #3

Check out the eggs color and size. Purchase a book because there are many many specifics to hatching eggs properly. Match the egg in reality with the picture egg in the book and read all info that is printed concerning that specific egg. I knocked a nest out of a tree once and pretty much those birds lives were ruined so I took it upon myself to raise 4 eggs and I am a proud parent of 4 birdies. I bought a book and did it, so can you! Goodluck, get back to me I want to know how it goes :D

Answer #4

I would call your Conservation Office and ask them for any assistance. You have to keep turning them but I have no idea how often. I would for sure look up the County Extension Office or Conservation Office and ask what to do.

Good luck
