I am trying to find this story

I am trying to find a story I saw about two years ago. It is about a United States elderly man makinf a trip to France. The airport people in France were not being too nice to this man and asked him if he had ever been to France before. He said only once and that was a long time ago and he and his buddies landed at the beach and people were shooting at them. A lot of his buddies died that day.
