Marion’s career spanned over 35 years with the US Department of Agriculture in Gainesville, Florida, where he dedicated his professional life to the intricate world of insects. His expertise in entomology has been invaluable to the scientific community. After retiring at the end of 1999, Marion turned his focus to another lifelong interest: the rich and complex history of the American Civil War.
