How to make small talk with him?

So I recently started dating my friend and we hung out today (with a group of friends). During the day, I realized that I didn’t really have much to say to him and couldn’t really fit myself into the conversations that my friends had. Resulting in me feeling a little awkward. (They’re all juniors. I’m a senior. So being in a different grade level probably plays into this a tad bit. Yes, he is younger than I am, but that’s okay. :) ) So now I’m here to ask all of you if you have any advice for how I could make small talk with the others and such. This actually isn’t a recent problem. I’ve always been like this. ^^;

just be yourself hun! you cant go wrong with that. they should respect you for that. I know that when I dont have anything to say to my boyfriend, we make small talk by starting the randomest convo’s. hahaha its actually very fun. just have fun with the talking and be yourself. you cant go wrong! :D
