Just start a conversation with him, something that would cause him to give more then a one word answer. For example… If you say “Did you have a good weekend” that is a yes/no question, so the conversation wont last long. But if you say “What all did you do this weekend” it gives him a chance to say more. That will help the conversation last longer.

guys are normally shy like girls. you should try talking to him first and make converstation. you could try talking to them on aim first but it could make things awkward in person depending on the person. also try and find out what you and the guys are both interested, it makes it easier to talk to them
