How to get a girl in a different grade to know I like her?

I’m in my last year of highschool and there is this girl in the year below me who is just so striking and I have to say, gorgeous. I know she’s really nice and smiley and fun and all the rest of it but I really want to get to know her better. I do know a guy who is friends with her but I want a way to get closer to her. At lunch we sit at tables that are next to each other. I want to make eye contact but she’s a little shy so she doesn’t look around that much. There is a dance in a couple of weeks so if she’s there I will definitely she if she’ll dance with me. One girl in grade 11 told a friend of mine that all the grade 11 girls thought I was hot lol

I don’t know, any suggestions would be nice especially from a girl’s point of view.

wow I miss highschool..not. but just act like you KNOW your hot, and just walk up and talk to her. I loved it back my jr year when this sr guy did that to me I had a huge crush on too lol.girls like that kinda thing just get her out of her shell by just acting like a friend at first…get her number…and text/call go from there no big deal. just act like confident but not cocky.
