How to apply eyeshadow?

Hey everyone…

I know HOW to apply eye shadow, but I’m having a lot of trouble doing it. Maybe it’s because I don’t have the right brushes. I know to apply the lightest shade up to your brow-bone and all over your lid, the medium shade just on your lid, and the darkest blended into your crease. I’ve watched countless eyeshadow tutorials on youtube, and they make it look so easy to blend the darkest shade into your crease!!! THAT’S the biggest problem. I have Eco Tools Brush kit, and the eyeshadow brush isn’t good for blending. I suppose I could buy another eyeshadow blender brush, but I don’t really want to. How can I blend really easily? Should I try doing it with my finger? Help!!!

Hey girl, I would recommend Sephora! They have all types of brushes that you would mostly need in daily basis. they are cheaper and good quality.

What do you recommend when it comes to brushes? I use an eyeshadow brush from Eco Tools kit. It’s good for patting on eyeshadow but horrible for blending. Should I get a blending brush? What brush do you recommend that will blend the eyeshadow into the crease best?

Hey Girl, Ok, well I sorta knew this, but I wasn’t sure HOW TO BLEND. You use three different colors: The base, usually a very light taupe, a highlighter for the crease and a main color for the lid, but how to get them to look as if they merge into each other like the colors of a rainbow? My secret: Start light then go darker. Brush the base color, apply the lid color and THEN apply the highlighter. Also, don’t be too heavy-handed or you’ll have to start over. Extra tip: Practice makes perfect. Play with your makeup a few days before a big event.
