My goals in life are different from others im not the typical girl who wants a car and want to go to college... Its not for me most people say im crazy but im not. My goals are to go live in the wilderness grow my own food catch my own food kinda like an animal I want to be like tarzan I want to be in touch with nature and animals an become like them I want to live with them be like them but of corse I wouldnt eat raw meat I would have to cook it beause humans cant digest raw meat like animals do but anyways what are some things that can teach me about this kind of stuf I have been thinking about this dream of mine since I was very little...I used to want to live with a pack of wolves still do but im pretty sure the wolves would eat me so I decided just to live in wilderness...what should I do.
I fully get where you are coming from lol. My goal in life is not quite to live in the wilderness, but to live in a 3rd world country and help them build wells and homes and help with education for a few years.
I'm sorry but I don't think you will be able to live in the complete wild, as while you are sleeping animals will try and eat you. And there are poisonous animals that could bite you, and mosquitoes carrying diseases. Most of the water will make you sick as you are used to clean water. And you will have to have done some serious botanics study as you will need to know what every plant is and weather or not you can eat it, and weather or not it will kill you.
Also, the govt doesn't let people live with no address :/
I think your best option here, is to learn about different plants, and rock formations, a lot of geology, and join a tramping group so you can learn what its like to be in a secluded area. You should do lots of tramping and camping and survival skills. Maybe join the army (I think women can???) for like 2 years just to get experience.
If this is really what you want to do, then go for it!!
I actually really like this idea because I've had similar ones myself =) First of all, you have to prepare yourself with all the necessary survival skills. Nature isn't going to give you any special treatment so you'd better prepare for it as best as possible. Look at it realistically, I can't stress that enough, nature is completely unpredictable. I also hope you mean more that you're going to live in a house away from everyone and make ends meet on your own. It would be impossible to survive in the outdoors by yourself. Also remember, people do need the company of other people to stay sane. As nice as solitude can be for a short period of time, it will do you no good in the long run. Good luck with your dreams!
