How safe is the anti pregnancy pill on last day of menses ?

My girl friend took anti pregnancy tablet on last day of menses or I doubt it was the next day to end of menses…so any problem she would have and how would the tablet work?? How many times at maximum could the pill be taken a year??

There are 2 types of pill that you could be talking about, and I’m guessing that you mean the morning after pill, also called by it’s brand name in the US - “PLAN B”. It works in the same way as regular birth control pills, by preventing the release of an egg from the ovaries. It has the same hormones as regular birth control pills, just in higher concentrations, and therefore the side effects are more pronounced (25% chance of nausea) and it may throw off your cycle for a month or two. If your girl friend had already released an egg BEFORE PLAN B got in her system, it won’t affect the outcome, which is why there is a better chance of preventing pregnancy by taking it as soon as possible. As far as how many times a year, if that is a worry, she should just get on the pill. Since you claim to be from China, I can’t give you any other advice. Sorry. Good Luck!!
