How much does a pitbull usually cost?

how much does a pittbull usually cost full bread? I want to get one for my boyfriend next month will be our 2 yr anniversary. how much would I have to pay for a puppy?

Answer #1

Actually, that percent is 25%. Close enough. 1/4 of all dogs that are brought into Shelters are Purebred. Most of the Mixed-Breeds are found on the Streets, or are surrendered by irresponsible breeders.

Please, if you find a Pitbull at the Pet Store, because they are overpriced, and are typically or likely sick. Most of the time you will have to spend a lot of money by Spaying Or Neutering. You may want a puppy, but remember, he may be cute and little now or then, but someday he/she will grow up.

Four Million Dogs (or more!) are in an Animal Shelter right now! Why don’t you save one? Most of the time for $200 or less you can get a dog or puppy that’s Spayed or Neutered, updated on vaccinations, and tested for Heartworm. Generally, Pet store Puppies are 500+. Discluding Food, Water and Food Bowls, toys, Vet Bills, etc. The best thing you can do is Adopt. Every puppy in a Pet Store WILL be bought.

I do not recommend a Pitbull, they are much more Expensive-Property Taxes will be more expensive due to the Liability.

Answer #2

IF I WERE YOU I WOULD NOT CONSIDER GETTING A PIT FROM A SHELTER, SORRY GUYS, YOU DO NOT KNOW THE HISTORY OF THE DOG TRUST ME IT IS SAFER TO GET THEM FROM BIRTH, I HAVE HAD MY DOG FROM BIRTH AND NOW HAVE TWO OF HER PUPS AND NEVER HAD ANY TROUBLE!! MY FRIEND GOT ONE FROM A SHELTER AND IT SWITCHED ON HER AFTER TWO WEEKS AND SHE WAS REAL LOVING TO IT WHILE HER TWO KIDZ WERE IN THE HOUSE!! ITS NOT THEIR FAULT, SOME ARE BADLY TREATED AND SOME JUST DONT TAKE TO CHANGE VERY EASILY AND BECAUSE THEY ARE STRONG DOGS, THEY CAN CAUSE MORE DAMAGE THAN OTHER TYPES, SO FOR A BIG DOG I WOULD SAY GET IT FROM BIRTH, EVEN IF YOU HAVE TO PAY A BIT MORE!! OH AND THEY CAN COST FROM ABOUT 500 - 2000!!

Answer #3

we always got our purebreds for free.. I’m sure if you go to a shelter you will be able to find a purebred and get it for a good price!

Answer #4

24% of dogs in shelters are purebred.

And they are homeless. And killed to make space. Consider adopting instead of buying. You’ll be saving a life.

Answer #5

DO NOT BUY AT A PET STORE!!! It’s about 99.9999% chance you’ll regret the day you ever walked into the place.

Around here you can pick up a Pit pup for as little as $50.00…you probably can look around at the internet, and pick up one for $200 to $800…BUT…

The number one dog surrendered at the county dog pounds are Pits…Go to the next county if you can’t find one in your town…Save a life!!

Answer #11

If you get a purebred pit bull from a good breeder, a pit bull puppy can cost as much as $2,000.

If you go to a shelter or a pit bull rescue you can usually find a puppy or a young adult for much cheaper. Usually only $100 or so and shelters often include the price of a spay/neuter into the price of the adoption. You would also get updated shots and everything.
