How much are purebred Chihuahuas?

I have a 6 month old one, and the other day someone asked me how much I gave for it. and I think I over paid. does anyone know how much they are?

I’m sure you could them for $300…all the way up to $2000 or $3000 (wasn’t Paris Hilton’s like $4500??)…They are like all dogs…it depends on where you live…supply and demand…what the bloodlines are…Just check out the internet, and you can find a whole range of prices.

If you paid a bunch of money for an unregistered, no winning champions in it’s pedigree, no health guarantees…well, then ya got took…course it doesn’t matter, 6 months down the road…you’ve paid the money, and now you love the dog, ya know??

So…don’t worry about it now…the next time around, you’ll be wiser.

Yup phrannie is right.

But my work (Humane Society) get purebred dogs all the time. Right now we have a Chihuahua, German Shepard and Pomeranian all with papers. And the price for them is $135, including vaccines and rabies.

So unless you adopt, you are overpaying in my book. And adoption also saves lives. But yep nothing you can do now either way, so just try to just focus on your puppy.

From that photo, he looks like a Chug (chihuahua/pug). Did he come with AKC registration papers?
