How long does it take to get a ring sized?

I’m taking my promise ring to get sized tomorrow and I was wondering how long it will approximately take to get back? My dad said I might not get it back till after the New Year and that would suck, I really want to start wearing it.

Anyone know?

Normally it is less than a week. I guess it depends on who does the sizing, meaning if the jeweler sizes it themselves or ship it out to a shop. I think you have enough time to have it back before christmas.

When I got my engagement ring resized, it only took a few days, but, because of the time of year, I’d expect it to take a little longer than usual- ‘tis the season for declarations of love!
