how is this right?

I just started logging my daily calories I feel like I ate SO much today, but my calories dont reflect that 1 cup black coffee (approx 5 cal) 2yogurt (70 cal ea.) 3 apple (60 cal ea.) 2 can tuna (120 cal ea.) 1 bag apple cinnamin rice cakes (320 cal. oops!) 2 100 calorie packs (200 cal.)

thats only 1085. I also burned 250-300 on the elliptical, and did 10 min of HIIT plus a mile this morning (so no clue on calories burned there)

is this a “good” day or a “bad” day? im clueless since I just started counting calories.

Your calorie intake is too low, it would be too low if you were sitting down soing nothing all day let alone doing a lot of exercise. You really need to eat more food in order to be healthy. If you just added a good meal to what you have eaten already e.g a roast dinner or a jacket potato with filling or pasta with sauce a fair sized meal like that you would have an absolutely perfect diet. If you just generally dont eat a dinner like that you really need to add a lot more healthy snacks to your diet. If I were you I would add 4 more snacks all around 200 calories each. Then you would have a healthy amount. Some nutritious snacks which have a good amount of calories are peanut butter sandwhich advocado cereal bar e.g nutri grain bowl of cereal a handful of cheese cubes muller rice or fruit/crunch corner a glass of milk, smoothie, milkshake or orange juice also adds calories so if you dont feel like eating a lot more, just add a mfew cups of these drinks (or drinks with similar calorie amounts) and you’ll be fine.

Answer #4

Since it takes about 1100 calories just to maintain your body functions not to mention your workout, you are well on the road to losing weight, probably too much so. When I asked my doctor about a diet of 2000 cal. (I’m a 59 y.o. male, BMI=30), and he said that would work at about 1-2# a month, which would be a good rate. You being younger might be able to lose faster and still be OK, but I HIGHLY recommend seeing a doctor or nutritionist for advice. It’s especially good that you are getting exercise as part of your routine. Good Luck!!

Generally they dont recommend going below 1200/1400 calories per day… apparently it puts the body in starvation mode which is counter productive over the long term
